I dyed some wool a few weeks back, you can see it in one of my previous posts. I was extremely proud of how the colours turned out. Finally I decided to make some short shorties for Grace. I finished them this morning and managed to embelish them. I planned to fill the heart in but DH likes it how it is :D I may add a few smaller hearts to it but we'll see!!!

OMG its over already!!!

Well the festivities are all over now. Its been a busy one for us!!!
It all started Christmas Eve when we spent the night with my Dad, his parents and my brothers and sister and partners and cousins etc...all on my Dad's side anyways.

We lined our street with candles in brown paper bags, well we put sand in plastic cups and then placed the candle in the cup and then the cup into a brown paper bag. Most of our st joined in and I was told that LOTS of streets around us did it as well and looked gorgeous. I took a pic which isnt the best but you can see our candles anyways!!!




Christmas morning we spent with our babies!!!



They had a ball checking out what was in their Santa sacks, and eating m'n'm's for breakfast...

haha Then we headed to the lounge room to open the pressies under the chrissy tree.
We went to Lunch with my DH's side of the family. We had gone out to a fancy hotel for lunch, it cost a fortune but was delicious!

We ended up headin back home where my mum was busily cooking christmas dinner. The all my brothers and sister and partners and some friends all came over for dinner!!! It was delicious. We stayed up having a few drinks and playing Cranium till the late hours...it was quite hilarious!!! ROFLOL Magine me dancing around trying to be a fairy penguin, like charades...HAHAHA It was a sight!!!

The Boxing day was a bit quiet. DH had to work, he didnt have to but when your getting 70 an hour we took it up, he is now on holidays which is great :D I spent the morning sorting out all the toys into the kids santa sacks and cleaning up the mess that was everywhere. My brother in law was in town for chrissy so we went to my DH's parents place for a bbq as his bro was leaving that night. The kids swam in the spa, it was nice and relaxing!!!

Christmas celebrations are about to begin here...starting with lining our street gutter with candles...I'll be sure to take photos!!! :D

I am sooo very excited about christmas this year. Unfortunately some of my gifts weren't ready in time and they will be given out during next week...I know my family will understand though!!!

anyways so I finally finished my home made gift for Lucy. I really didnt think I would get the time to but the staying up till 3 am knitting must have helped...LOL
Anyways here they are. They aren't the most perfect, I know I made a mistake somewhere along the lines...LOL But they will do the job they are meant to do and I LOVE the colours!!! Just need to put the elastic in and they are ready!!!






The fabric I bought for Lily's dress didnt arrive in time *shakes fist* ahhhh what did I expect huh with the crazy christmas postage time.

But.....I did come up with something else...It should look adorable...I have cut out the fabric and layed it out how I plan to sew it together. I am over the moon with the cuteness of this fabric!!!



I have heaps to do today. I am baking a stack of melting moments biscuits to give out to our friends and families with their cards!!!

Anndddd.....I am tie dying some tiny outfits for my neighbour, she has a bought a new baby doll for her daughter and wants some funky baby clothes to give her also. The clothes are 0000 which is the smallest I could find at Kmart. The clothes look eensy weensy but then again I remember when this size was like a Sz 1 on a newborn to my Lily...haha ahh the memories...anyways am procrastinating :S

I have been busy making these gorgeous felted dreads. Too bad they aren't for me as I LOVE them!!!

I am going to have to put the time into making myself one. These are for a girl in the UK, I can't wait to see 'Action' pics of them!!! :D

Its getting crazier and crazier over here.
I love Christmas time but we need to do things differantly next year like save for the crazy holidays that screw around our payments and start buying much earlier in the year!!!

anyways I have recieved some lovely fluff lately :D

Today consisted of some cute Tikki fluff. I bought these gorgeous Tea Party Shorts last week and asked Tikki if I could have a scrap of the fabric to make a matching shirt. Lucy looks so adorable!!!

Wool dyeing

I bought 200g of wool that needed dying. I WAS going to wait till I had bought some Kool Aid but decided to use my food colouring instead. I can't wait to knit them up now...hehe

Just going to make some short shorties. I'll make the waitband and cuffs a differant colour though, havent decided what colour yet but I'll get to that later. I'm very tempted to start knitting now except the wool isn't quite dry yet :S

I forgot to add Grace in her Dr Seuss Shorties!!! :D These were a custom made pair from Elly of Elly Belly Babywear!!! She's fantastic!!!

Christmas outfits!!

I have been busily sewing outfits for my babies to wear on Christmas day.

I don't think I'll be making anything for my eldest, Zuriel so I bought him a chrissy shirt to wear but here is what I have made up for the girls so far...

1 - This dress is for my youngest, Lucy who is almost 9months old.
2 - This one is for Grace who is 2.5years
3 - This is the fabric that I am using to make a long top for Lily my almost 4 yr old. She will be wearing jeans with this top, I will be adding a red with white polka dot frill as well :)

I have been trying out shirring, its fun, so easy to make gorgeous dresses this way.
Also I knitted a pair of shorties for Lucy to wear with her dress, I will also be making a green PUL cover when the PUL arrives. Grace has a red PUL cover already and a pair of Dr Seuss inspired shorties which I will also post a pic of cause they are cute ;)







I can't wait for Christmas. Its been very exciting this year. We have set up our first family christmas tree, my first ever in my life too... :S
