busy bee

well I've been busy lately.

On the weekend Renee and I went to the local markets and had a stall for her nappies. It was a little slow this week but I sold two things which was great.
I picked up some yummy watermelon scented home made soap which is just beatifull. I need to get more.

I have been making household cleaning products lately. The laundry detergent is going well, although I am trying to work out the best way to make it to wash nappies, atm I am just using normal detergent for those and the home made for all our clothes/towels etc
The multi purpose cleaner is great also..Love the smell of lemon :D hehe

anyways so I have been tie dyeing. I recieved my bamboo fleece in the mail yesterday so had to start creating with it. I also had some bamboo terry and hemp fleece as well. So am in the process of making 8 nappies all up, Just waiting on another metre of hemp fleece to get here and I'll be completely set to start sewing. I am using the very baby side snapper pattern for these but I plan to turn and topstitch them :D as I don't have a working overlocker atm.

So here are the nappy cuts all dyed and ready to go. I am so excited, they will look very funky!!!












This cute outfit came in the mail today, another from Blue Banana Babes, very very cute stuff!!!! and extremely reasonable prices!!!!



I also got my other butterfly tattooed yesterday. Its quite ouchies at the moment and I stink of bepanthen. Everything sticks to me...LOL But it looks great so I am really happy!!!




I have 900g of various wool coming in the mail. 200g from Dyelicious, a custom and some from Kelly's clearance sale, 300g of corridale yarn for a pair of longies and a curly purly soaker, then 400g from the NZ wool company of watermelon and orchid so I can make up some funky, cheap longies for miss Lucy. Gosh I can't wait for it all to arrive I have been itching to knit.
I am joining in the longies swap on Woolaholics which is fun, I am pretty sure I have the wool that I will use. I had originally bought it for something else but I think it might turn out to be perfect for this swap.

Woolaholics swaps

So I have been meaning to post a pic of the wool I recieved in the yarnswap. Candice made mine and I LOVE it. I am going to start knitting it next week I think. After I finish this other pair of longies I am making for a special WAHM ;)

tattoo time...

So Tomorrow is the day, I will finally be inked. Its only taken me 8years to work out what my first tattoo is going to be...haha I am glad it took this long though.

So here are the designs :D
One for each leg. Yup they are quite a big design, too big for my ankle, so they are going on the outer side of my calf. I will get the green/red/yellow one done tomorrow probably and the other on Monday. I will be sure to post pics :D

omg cuteness

I convinced Grace to wear her funky longies today long enough for me to get a couple of cute photos.

It isn't quite cold enough to start wearing longs just yet but the weather is getting REALLY nice, comfortable anyways without airconditioners.

anyways so here she is, growing up so quickly. Turning 3 in June...OMG

well its been a while since I last posted. We lost internet over a month ago but finally we are set up again. Its been a nice but also frustrating break as we do all our net banking online and I also have my dread store and orders to make. But YAY we are back :D

Lucy turned 1 on the 23rd March. Can't believe she is one already. Such a big girl. Today she is unwell and has been sleeping most of the day.

Here is a pic I took last weekend while we were visiting the beach with our family for easter. I have so many pics to share of all the kids but have yet to upload and resize and all that jazz.



I have spent this time off the puter knitting. I have made a very funky curly purly soaker, which is a fave, 1 pair of shorties and 3 pairs of longies. I am half way through a pair at the moment but am, not happy with them. I am trying my best to use up the majority of the wool that I have in my stash before buying more...oh except the desire custom slot I got a few days ago with Kelly from Dyelicious. Can't wait for that one :D
