Sewing and knitting and fluffy mail.

I am sooo happy, I finally have a Wriggleybums side snapper and 2 swaddlebee AIO's, I think the swaddlebee's would have to be a new fave, the fit is sensational on Lucy. I got these at $15 each, bargain and they are like new...OMG.
I also recieved my wool from Monsterknits from the big stocking about a month ago, its *dies* delicious. The chocolate is thats for sure :D But WOWSERS Batman this wool is amazing!!!

I am going to be ordering some of that yummy chocolate... www.sweetwilliam.com.au (Oh just realised that woolies should have it...YAY)

I have been sewing bibs. Am planning to stock some at the end of next week. I have heaps cut out and half a dozern sewn so far. I would like to have about 30 made for the stocking as I won't be stocking them much and want for as many people as possible to be able to get some bibs.

Here is a sneak preview...

I have made a pair of Longies that I was planning to sell but now am not so sure, they are sooooo cute. The pooling wasn't exactly the same on the legs but that has worked to my advantage as I plan to embelish something on the leg where there is a large pooling of one colour. Gosh I dunno. The are just wayyy to cute and Lucy needs some...LOL

This is our fluffy mail for today :D
Wriggley Bums...Thanks Genie, this fits soooooooo well!!!!

I have decided to make a couple of these dolls for Grace as she is turning 3 next month...OMG I will make myself one too I think...hehe

Ok so I must get into cleaning. I have been procrastinating all morning...eeeeeeek

Crazy times...

I haven't updated in a while.
Sooo much has been happening. Allot of financial troubles so I have been a little distracted. I have had to sell allt of my nappies.

I was wanting to sell allot anyways as we really had too many for one little girl. I am supposed to be saving money, that was what I told DH. I would have recieved over half of what I paid for everything, so in a sense I am better off still.

I have moved into used prefolds and squares allot more and am loving it. :)

I have decided to start selling again. I have about 25bibs cut out and I am cutting more tonight. I am going to do a massive stocking somewhere, haven't decided whether to open my own shop again, a bunch or awesome WAHM's have offered for me to sell in there store for the time being. Not sure yet :D

I have moved into making pads. Well its kinda not a new thing as I've been making them and working on a pattern for a few months now and think I am just about ready to send a few out for testing.

errmmmmmm yeah heaps to say but my mind has gone blank.

Shall update with pics of the bibs over the weekend maybe :)

nappies :D

Ok so My gorgeous daughter Gracie grabbed all my nappies that were laying out in the sun and scrunched them all up togeher and placed them onto a table out the back so that she could jump on the trampoline *facepalm*
So I threw the nappy cuts into the wash a little sooner then I had planned to so the colours aren't as vibrant as they should have been but are still VERY funky, it was mainly the bamboo terry that lost some of the brightness, the bamboo fleece held it beautifully!!!

So I am still waiting on hemp to arrive so I can make up all the nappies but decided to get started with what I had ready to go.

I am extremely happy with them so far, the bamboo fleece one needed extra snaps to what Lucy would normally have, not sure if that is just my bodgy sewing or cause of the fabric *shrugs* anyways but the bamboo terry ones fit extremely well, am so very happy with them, am going to try and get some more terry soon.

So here are a few pics :D
Here's the bamboo fleece one(I still have 3 more out of bamboo fleece to make yet)

and here are some of the bamboo terry nappies :D

busy bee

well I've been busy lately.

On the weekend Renee and I went to the local markets and had a stall for her nappies. It was a little slow this week but I sold two things which was great.
I picked up some yummy watermelon scented home made soap which is just beatifull. I need to get more.

I have been making household cleaning products lately. The laundry detergent is going well, although I am trying to work out the best way to make it to wash nappies, atm I am just using normal detergent for those and the home made for all our clothes/towels etc
The multi purpose cleaner is great also..Love the smell of lemon :D hehe

anyways so I have been tie dyeing. I recieved my bamboo fleece in the mail yesterday so had to start creating with it. I also had some bamboo terry and hemp fleece as well. So am in the process of making 8 nappies all up, Just waiting on another metre of hemp fleece to get here and I'll be completely set to start sewing. I am using the very baby side snapper pattern for these but I plan to turn and topstitch them :D as I don't have a working overlocker atm.

So here are the nappy cuts all dyed and ready to go. I am so excited, they will look very funky!!!

This cute outfit came in the mail today, another from Blue Banana Babes, very very cute stuff!!!! and extremely reasonable prices!!!!

I also got my other butterfly tattooed yesterday. Its quite ouchies at the moment and I stink of bepanthen. Everything sticks to me...LOL But it looks great so I am really happy!!!

I have 900g of various wool coming in the mail. 200g from Dyelicious, a custom and some from Kelly's clearance sale, 300g of corridale yarn for a pair of longies and a curly purly soaker, then 400g from the NZ wool company of watermelon and orchid so I can make up some funky, cheap longies for miss Lucy. Gosh I can't wait for it all to arrive I have been itching to knit.
I am joining in the longies swap on Woolaholics which is fun, I am pretty sure I have the wool that I will use. I had originally bought it for something else but I think it might turn out to be perfect for this swap.

anyways lots of dye mess to clean up...hehe
